WATCH: Snow jogger wipes out on live TV after interview on joys of winter running

Global News

TORONTO –  A U.S. couple didn’t let a few inches of snow stop them from going for an evening jog over the weekend — but the pavement did.

During a live weather report, Portland’s KOIN News’ Lisa Balick was surprised to see Chelsea and Michael out for a jog during a snowstorm.

When asked why they decided to go for a run, Chelsea said: “It’s the perfect texture for running, very low impact,” she said. “It’s dry snow so, your feet don’t get wet.”

Michael added: “It’s too nice not to be out here.”

Those words were about to come back to haunt them.

The pair continued on their run and, only seconds after the interview, Chelsea fell on her back after slipping on ice.

Chelsea was helped to her feet and gave a “thumbs up” sign to camera, signalling she was okay.
